Putting on my Big Girl Pants...

Well, the meeting was fairly interesting at UGA. It appears I definitely need to take those science classes to qualify for the MPH, so I’ve sent out inquiries to the local schools. I’m going to take them as night classes so that way I won’t have quit my job if I don’t get in the masters program. Heh. At least two of them are offered evenings and hopefully the third will be too by the time I need it. I’m hoping to take one per semester for the next three semesters so I’ll be complete in time to apply for ’09. I think more than one per semester would be hard while working full time since they are lab courses – so that’s two long nights per week at school plus homework just for one class.

I’ll likely have to suspend some other activity to place my priority on school. I have to think about it now because I plan to start that first prep class this August – not far away. It rather places a conundrum on the yoga classes I teach – the students love it so, as do I. But, I might just have to be a student and get in one of Michele’s classes once a week, not teach for a while. I’m not sure about choir at the moment – I may consider just singing at Christmas and Easter since I really don’t want to give it up altogether.

But until my energy levels get better (meaning I stick to my hypo diet better), three nights a week out until 10:00 after having been up and running since 5:15am is just too much. Two, I can do, but three nights knock me right out, dead for the week. I will also miss the yoga money, but Lord willing I will have a roommate by then. PUH-LEEZE?

Also, sticking to the hypoglycemic diet this weekend? Did. Not. Happen. At all. I can’t even talk about how bad I was. Let’s just say I am starting from square one again… I think the only reason I did not gain 5 pounds in three days of eating sugar is that 6 hours of house-painting and other hard labor burnt a lot of calories… Today was the first time I'd been to the gym in a week.

I really need to look for a job closer to home...
